Communities Served
We serve Nelson and surrounding areas. Our ability to travel is limited, so we try to do as much as possible over the phone so people do not have to travel into Nelson too often. We anticipate establishing a satellite office in Castlegar one day a week starting in the spring of 2007. We also anticipate some additional funds for traveling, permitting us to more thoroughly serve people in the Slocan Valley, Nakusp, Kaslo and Salmo.

Complaint Policy
All clients, other agency personnel, volunteers, and community members are welcome and encouraged to provide feedback to The Centre. Anyone requesting an evaluation form will be provided with one.
Anyone having a complaint with any aspect of the service is asked to direct the complaint in the following steps:
1. Try first to resolve the problem with the staff person involved.
2. If this is not successful, contact the Agency Director.
3. If you still are not satisfied, make a written or oral presentation to the Advocacy Centre Committee
4. If still not satisfied, the final step is with the Board of Directors of the Nelson and District Community Resources Society through the Executive or appointed Sub Committee.
The Advocacy Centre will seek to obtain an advocate for anyone who would like support from another person as they go through this process. Lack of resolution at any step means automatic procedure to the next step.
